Brisbane Group Intensives!

Parrot Life Behaviour and Training and Brisbane Bird Minding are excited to bring you our Behaviour and Training Group Intensives.

All Group Intensives are conducted at the Brisbane Bird Minding facility in Rochedale, Queensland.

• 8:00am - 9:45am • Recall Training • BYOB available 
• 10:00am - 11:45am • Biting • Demo birds provided 
• 12:45pm - 2:30pm • Screaming • Demo birds provided 
• 2:45pm - 4:30pm • Intro to Harness Training • BYOB available

Group Intensives are small group sessions with a focus on a specific behaviour issue or training goal. 

Each intensive is exclusive, with just 4 spots available in each session.Each session will be customised to the attendees based on their responses to our Behaviour History Form which each client will complete prior to the day.   

Behaviour Problem Sessions include but are not limited to: Discussion of environmental set up and how it effects behaviour including diet and feeding, enrichment, housing and interactions, management protocols to implement and demonstration of training and behaviour modification protocols.   

Training Sessions include but are not limited to: Introduction to basic training concepts such as the ABC's of behaviour, marker/clicker training, identifying reinforcement for your bird, demonstrations with live birds / hands-on practise, troubleshooting.   

Attendees will have the option to bring their own bird (BYOB) for select intensives depending on the topic. Please see the list of upcoming sessions to see which you can bring your bird to. There will also be birds provided by Parrot Life and/or Brisbane Bird Minding available.  *Please note: All attendee BYOB birds will be required to have a clear Psittacosis test (testing must be no longer than 2 years old and your bird must not have come into contact with other/new birds since testing) and appear in good health. Please email a copy of your test to us prior to the day.
